Nursery Programme

Nursery classrooms are usually organized around interest areas or learning centers. These defined areas allow children to play and explore materials with the guidance of the teacher either individually or in small groups. Low dividers often separate the centers, but children move freely among them. Skills that lead to reading, writing, science and math are at specific centers and also reinforced in different ways throughout the centers via communication, exploration and play. Nursery Programme : Age Group: 3 years to 4 years At this stage children amble in a free environment, learning the first lessons of life – giving, loving and laughing , their ABC’s, number concepts , good habits through various projects. When your child chatters with their neighbour during circle time, investigates the way as a mirror reflects the sun and solves a shape puzzle, they are strengthening their self-control and personal awareness. This is an important age where we encourage fostering self-esteem. The “Language center” taps the creative and innovative abilities in the child while enhancing their Language skills. In a variety of delightful ways, these children will learn their ABCs, counting, health habits, good manners, safety awareness, science & nature and will participate in art projects using safe scissors, nursery rhymes, songs and musical games. To develop Emergent Literary skills we have a reading corner, a library for every age & stage where children pick up any book which catches their fancy! Children naturally love music! Whether it’s soft and soothing or a lively tune, children feel it both physically and emotionally. Throughout the early years, children learn to do new things with their bodies. Young children also learn that movement can communicate messages and represent actions. Young children are able to perform and recognize pantomime actions and hence Music and Movement is an enjoyable time for the 3 year olds.
