One of the most important cognitive shifts in the preschool years is the development of symbolic thought. (Symbolic thought is the ability to mentally or symbolically represent concrete objects, actions, and events (Piaget, 1952). Floreto offers hands on experiences on Concept Development which enable them to classify objects into different categories with sky as their limit! Research has found correlations between active music making and some of the deepest workings of the human brain. Now our preschoolers are on the path of creating their own music & musical patterns. This has led to increased language discrimination and development, math ability, better-adjusted social behaviour, and improvements in spatial-temporal reasoning, a cornerstone for problem solving. Floreto believes that children who know the powers of their mind can be the Masters of their Flight. Only then can they dare to fly. And the force of all their wings can take them to the heights of a new world. Our 4 & 5 year old kids learn their letters and numbers and how to read & write them. They are encouraged to print neatly and learn number concepts and combinations. In addition to these basics, the children will experience the joy of poetry, art, music and science. The curriculum is enhanced with a most suitable reading programme, which includes reading activities and library corners, and a good educational foundation designed to prepare your child for formal school. These preschoolers are exposed to experiential and developmentally appropriate activities aiming at the holistic development of the child . They learn their letters & numbers – how to read & write them in a combination of a stress-free, competition-less environment that evokes the potential in every child. They practice problem solving and reasoning activities and experience the joy of reading, writing, poetry, arts, science, music and movement.
